Women Thriving co-creates opportunities for women who face economic, social, and racial inequities to thrive through learning, leadership development, and community.

Our Mission

Our Vision

We envision a world where every woman thrives.

Women Thriving, Inc. is a community-rooted organization that creates pathways for women navigating economic, social, and racial inequities, supporting them in building the skills, leadership capacity, and connections needed to move toward stability, agency, and long-term growth. Serving women across Greater Boston, with deep roots in Brookline, MA, Women Thriving was founded in 2011 as a women-led grassroots initiative to support those disproportionately impacted by systemic inequities, beginning under the auspices of the Brookline Community Mental Health Center.

Our work is grounded in a holistic, resilience-building approach, where co-creation shapes how women engage, grow, and lead over time. We don’t just build skills–we create ongoing opportunities for women to apply them in real time. Through leadership development and learning, women step into spaces to lead, facilitate, and contribute, while continuing to deepen their own growth within our community; and are equipped to access, navigate, and sustain opportunities across the broader Greater Boston ecosystem

We believe no woman thrives alone. #thrivetogether

We Cultivate the Soil, Where Opportunity Can Grow into Lasting Growth & Empowerment.

  • Imagine a woman navigating economic barriers–insufficient childcare, unstable work, or limited income–that make career advancement feel out of reach. Or a woman encountering social inequities, excluded from networks or facing systemic bias that limits her professional growth. A woman navigating racial inequities that restrict access to opportunity and resources.

Now consider how these challenges intersect. She may also be an immigrant navigating unfamiliar systems, an LGBTQ+ woman facing barriers to equitable access, a woman with a disability encountering gaps in accessibility, or a primary caregiver whose unpaid labor constrains her time and options. She may be building a business alone, without the networks or support needed to grow.

Layer in the impact of chronic stress, isolation, or declining mental and physical health–and what may appear as a single barrier becomes a web of obstacles.

In this reality, opportunity is not simply unavailable–it is often inaccessible, difficult to navigate, and even harder to sustain without the right support, relationships, and pathways. As a result, many women are left to manage these pressures alone, remaining in survival mode rather than moving toward long-term growth.

  • Women Thriving designs and delivers holistic programming that responds to the complex, intersecting challenges shaping women’s lives. Across community-building, resilience-building, skill development, and immersive leadership development experiences, women engage in environments that foster connection, growth, and real-time application.

Through community, resilience-building, learning, and leadership development, women strengthen their ability to navigate barriers, make informed decisions, and take meaningful steps forward. As they grow, they are equipped to recognize, pursue, and sustain opportunities across Greater Boston–applying what they build within Women Thriving to lead in their own lives, communities, and the broader systems that shape their opportunities.

  • Integrity, Inclusion & Respect

We foster trust through authenticity, honesty, and confidentiality, while honoring one another’s identities, experiences, boundaries, and growth.

    Community That Moves You Forward

We build spaces where women support and learn from one another; reducing isolation while encouraging growth, accountability, and forward movement.

    Learning, Growth & Accountability

We believe in the potential of every woman and hold a standard of growth, learning, and follow-through. Through continuous learning, skill-building, and support, women strengthen their ability to show up, engage, and take ownership of their development.

    Ownership & Agency

We believe women are the drivers of their own lives. We support each woman in moving from surviving to self-directed thriving; making decisions, taking action, and defining her own path forward.

    Resilience & Self-Determination

We recognize the realities women face; and we focus on building the resilience, clarity, and self-trust needed to move through challenges and continue forward.

    Leadership Through Action

We believe leadership is developed through action, not intention alone. Women apply what they learn in real time, building habits, confidence, and the ability to lead in their own lives, communities, and the systems that shape their opportunities.
